Beginning of last month I did a photo shoot, partly for my own enjoyment and partly to promote my equine work that I have recently taken up again.
This was my first ‘styled’ promo shoot. While I was looking for my models and hair and makeup artist I caught the eye of a local lady who creates bridal accessories and she offered to let me use what I wanted for the shoot. I was thrilled that she contacted me as her products are amazing and one item in particular caught my eye which was this gorgeous Polaris Tiara, and in the end it was this, and the location, that dictated the entire shoot, as up until then I really had no firm idea of exactly the look I wanted to achieve.
After this I asked another local lady, who has recently started her own jewellery business, if she would agree to allowing me to feature some of her beautiful and simple items. I chose plain silver star drop earrings, a silver star and chain necklace and a stunning simple silver cuff bracelet. The star to echo the tiara but with the tiara being so bold with its height and sparkling diamantes it was important for the rest of the accessories to be more simple and subtle.
Everything really fell into place from there and the models hair and makeup were also kept natural and simple and we also decided not to plait the horses mane as we wanted him to look more natural and wild to suit the landscape.
These are the results and I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I have enjoyed creating them! 🙂
